2021••3rd Annual En Plein Air Washington••June 11-13, 2021
You are invited to paint outdoors in Washington, Iowa to celebrate the fun and spirit of en plein aire painting during our two-day event. The city of Washington is available for you to paint, whether your cup of tea is landscape, flowers, or historical buildings. This year we are adding adding a Nocturne event on Friday evening. Artists who wish to register early can stop in before 7:30 pm at the gallery and register and get their canvas stamped and be ready to explore the city of Washington for that great place to paint a Nocturne.
Painting will begin any time after registration opens at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 12th and will continue on Sunday. On Sunday,1:00 p.m., is the time to have your two completed paintings ready to turn in. At 2:00 p.m., the competition continues with a Quick Paint until 4:00 p.m. This will be held at Central Park which is the square in Washington and is surrounded with historical buildings. The park is conveniently located across the street from Art Domestique Gallery.

REGISTRATION/FEE: Cost: $30.00....Check in and stamping of materials begins
Saturday, (12), at 7:30 a.m. at Art Domestique Gallery, 118 S. Iowa Ave.,Was hington, IA, located on the East side of the square next to Dodici’s Coffee Shop. Coffee, water, iced tea, and pastries will be available for you. A picnic supper will be provided for you and a guest on Saturday evening at 5:30 p.m.
•Sunday, (13th), Artwork MUST be framed, (wire hanging system Only) ready to hang by 1:00 p.m. at Art Domestique Gallery. Judging by (to be announced) and Purchase Prize selections will begin at 2:00.
A framing table will be available for your use after 11:00 a.m.. The central portion of the Gallery will be used to display your work. Patron sales will begin at 3:00.
The “Quick Paint” sales will be between the artist and the client. You may set up your finished work on your own easels outside of Art Domestique Gallery. Or, if you’re lucky, right off your easels in the park.
