Sketchclub

Additional Information

Sketch club invites you to join us.  
You are invited to communicate with a drawing pencil.
The drawing class starts with what you KNOW and  then with participation GROW in knowledge of sketching.  

September 9  We are going to explore contour drawing.  

Sketch club dates:
September 9 and September 23… the second and fourth Wednesday  
We will meet at 5:30-7:00 pm
October 14, 28  
etc.  

There is a limit of 5 students.

We will wear masks inside the Art Domestique Gallery.  

We will explore a drawing lesson for the 1 1/2 hours.  Then each of the students will individually be able to talk to Kathleen about the things they have done in their sketchbook or canvas.

The drawing lesson will be based on what you need to have a better sketch.  

Supplies
Pencil 2B  or 4B   In october   you may also work in color with prisma colored pencils.  
Pencil sharpener
eraser

Sketchbook  spiral   9X12 or bigger.  the paper should be 80 lb or more in weight.  

Scarf Dyeing With A Cause Workshop

Silk Scarf Dyeing with a Cause

Workshop Scope:

Participants will learn various ways to manipulate and dye silk scarves for different

design options. Manipulating may involve scrunching, folding, rubber banding, twisting or

other techniques. They will choose one or two techniques. Then they will apply their choice of

liquid acid dye colors. The scarves will be microwaved to heat-set the colors, then rinsed in the

sink.

Each participant will dye two scarves of any combination of techniques and colors. One

scarf they keep for themselves, and the second scarf will be donated to the Faces of Courage ™

pampering spa day held annually at Dana’s Total Image for cancer patients and survivors. Each

of these cancer survivors receives a tote bag full of wonderful things including a handmade

scarf.
