En Plein Air Washington 2026 · June 12–14
Watch artists paint Washington County in the open air, then shop the finished work in our sales area (Friday through Sunday). Awards reception Sunday, June 14 at 4:00 p.m. Free and open to all.

Grinnell painter Karen Cooper brings her luminous, impressionist oils to our walls: Iowa streets, cafés, and landscapes. A 2025 Plein Air Washington award winner. Free and open to the public.
En Plein Air
For three days, artists set up their easels across Washington County to paint the place we call home: our barns and back roads, our downtown, our summer light, all captured live and out in the open air. Come watch the work take shape, then browse the finished paintings in our sales area, open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Join us Sunday, June 14 at 4:00 p.m. as we celebrate the artists and announce this year’s award winners. Free and open to all.
